French inlaid wood 8 day time and strike mantel clock, c1840
CONDITION:
the eagle and floral inlay are well executed and intact, and the dark stained case, with a few minor age cracks, has been nicely polished. The silvered dial has intricate faint patterning (remains of engine-turned pattern). A large rear door opens to reveal a standard size round silk thread-suspension, unsigned movement with count wheel striking. Ht 18"
